How does the post office deliver mail when it's addressed like this?

The USPS has been pushing a service (cost 15 cents to us mere Humans) called "every door" that basically allows you to pick a carrier route, and have them dump a piece of 3rd class mail at every door on the route, and what you see there is basically how they want it addressed. Nothing funny going on, just a new USPS product

Notice it is "Official business" and therefore produced and mailed at taxpayer expense.

Isn't she running unopposed?

The USPS is advertising this service with an ad campaign. They deliver to every house in a designated area. No story Queens Crap.

How do they sort the mail when there's no zip code? How does the post office know the boundaries of the 12th congressional district?

Not a piece of campaign literature. Note the signature on the above right, that is Nydia's signature, also known as "Franking" privileges. It entitles free mail to every member of Congress.

Simple - with the every door program, you specify "I want every door on Carrier Route XYZ (which is a VERY small sub part of a zip code) to get the mailing. Basically, they are brought to the post office, and if the carrier (aka your mailman) has 200 houses on his route, he's given 200 pieces, and is told to deliver to every door

So Nydia's people have to sift through carrier routes and pick the ones in her district?

After a Google search discovered that Velazquez' 12th Congressional District is the only Congressional District to "include" three Boroughs, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens yet while this mailing has four "return addresses" there's NO address for an office in Queens. How is Velazquez considered a "Representative" of Queens?
