Lancman moves to block Bloomberg

From the Daily News:

A piece of legislation Rory Lancman is advancing via his day job as a state assemblyman may play well with the labor community as he runs for Congress in NY-6.

As part of the ongoing prevailing wage debate, Mayor Bloomberg has gotten the unions into a tizzy by signing an executive order that allows him to wrest regulatory control over nearly 10,000 unionized NYC trade workers from Comptroller John Liu. Instead of Liu setting the wages for those laborers, the unions would have to negotiate with City Hall.

Lancman's proposed bill would alter Section 220-D of New York State labor law to prevent that.
