Mad bomber in Jamaica
From Fox 5:
Police on Monday released surveillance video of a suspect in a string of possible bias-related firebombings in Queens on New Year's Day and announced $12,000 in reward money for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
One clip shows the arsonist tossing a lit Molotov cocktail that spilled its flaming contents onto the lawn in front of a home at 88-20 170th St. that also houses a Hindu temple.
Cops say the firebug is also behind similar attacks that took place at the Al-Khoei Benevolent Foundation Islamic center, the 179th Street Deli and a home at 146-62 107th Ave.
All of the incidents took place between about 8pm and 10:15pm on Sunday.
No one was injured, but the 107th Avenue home caught fire and was badly damaged.
Nassau County police are also investigating a similar incident in which a bottle filled with gasoline was thrown at a house on Glafil Street in Elmont around 9:40pm on Sunday.
The suspect in the Queens cases was described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches and weighing 200 pounds.
When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket and baseball cap, and he fled the scene in a light-colored, four-door sedan.
Police were looking into whether the fires were hate crimes.

LOL, of course it wont be. The suspect is black, and blacks simply cannot commit crimes out of hate or racism, its just a product of their poor upbringing, which, of course, is the white mans fault.
The Iman of the mosque was on Eyewitness news yesterday about how the attacks were racist, and the attackers evil. Must have been before he saw the sketch. Nevertheless, they got the NYPD to jump through the hoop. They got a marked patrol car and at least one skywatch tower around the building.
how do we know that this isn't a ploy to get this mosque and it's immam on prime time tv? stranger things have happened.
Good, now that there's a NYPD watchtower, maybe next they can set up an ICE watcher tower and deport those who are overstaying their welcome.
Here Ray, here Mike, come boys. Sit! Beg! Roll over! Fetch! Good boys!
I wonder what the reaction will be whan this turns out to be just a disgruntled former follower with an ax to grind.
So what if they got a marked patrol car and a skywatch tower? It's the least the NYPD can do. Had this been a synagogue, they'd have HALF the NYPD force patrolling their premises!!!!
Sounds like the police caught the guy, and it relates more to the firebombing of a bodega than anything else.
Anon 3: So did the imam then order the four other firebombings that night, or were those a lucky coincidence?
Be glad you live in the country where people will defend to the death your right to be insane.
The private houses that were bombed were owned by Christians. This isn't a hate bomber, this is a diversity bomber.
The news just stated the crime was caused by rage, not hate. Anyone ever hear of a "rage crime"?
Oh, I get it;
minority perp = RAGE crime
white perp = HATE crime

Except that he has been charged with a hate crime.

At the time Anon 10 made his/her comments, the mayor and all the news stations were backing away from their original claims that this was a bias incident/ hate crime. Those were the labels they used, and those were the same labels they were backing away from as late as early Wednesday afternoon. Has something changed?

Well since it was a "diversity" bombing, the usual VIBRANT! DIVERSE! crowd should celebrate it as a beautiful reflection of our gorgeous mosaic borough.

Read the news articles. That's what he was charged with when arraigned.
He was charged with one hate crime for the attack on the mosque because he told police he wanted to take out as many Muslims as possible. The other crimes were not considered hate crimes. Considering he's being held at Bellevue under psych watch, I doubt he'll even be found competent for trial.
So he hated the mosque, but he liked everyone else whose property he firebombed?
