Illegal aliens steal credit card info

From the Daily News:

Daniel Gheorghe and Ionel Cristian Popa, both 33, were busted back in March at a Chase bank branch with $17,700, mostly in $20 bills, plus 66 counterfeited coupons.

The deceitful duo coded the blank gift cards - which can be picked up at many Dunkin' Donuts counters - with account information stolen using a skimmer device.

The two Romanian nationals then settled into a Chase branch on Hillside Ave. and started withdrawing in "a rapid pace," said a source.

The bank had flagged the compromised accounts and alerted police once funds were being taken out.

The two defendants, who are facing seven years in prison if convicted, now have to smell the coffee.

They were arraigned last week, pleaded not guilty to grand larceny and fraud and each was ordered held on $150,000 bail.

They don't have a U.S. address and claimed they entered the country in early 2011 on journalist visas.

Typical gypsy ploy.

We are letting in too many Albanians and Romanians. They are destroying Ridgewood and Glendale, and they are looking to spread.

This country should control the influx of Indians, Pakistanis, Arabs, etc before they worry about Eastern Europeans. You have no clue what you're talking about. When Romania was treating gypsies with a strong arm, keeping them under control, the European Union and the US cried violations of human rights. Romanians being a smart people allowed all the gypsies to leave for France, Italy, Spain etc. Now that these countries got a taste of gypsies and their wonderful personalities, they are trying to send them back to Romania, just to have them leave their countries. So you know what......just deserves. Educate yourself before you compare Romanians with Gypsies. Most Romanians are educated, hard working people. I am Romanian, my parents worked hard, paid taxes. My dad did jobs no American would do. I have a JD and an MD degree and I came to this country when I was 17 and spoke no English. German and French only. What do you have? High-school?
