One of the "Stats" they leave out (Or don't track?) is crime not reportd because NYPD is discouraging victims from reporting "minor offenses". It's all a bullshit numbers game....
Prediction: One cop and one Sgt from each precinct in Queens Norh and South will be getting bounced out of the precinct stats offices and back onto patrol. I also see a few precinct commanders getting launched for not properly "fighting the numbers" from last year.
Smo&e&mirrors. You can't have 5000 less cops (plus Over 700 detectives re-assigned to non enforcement duty)and a growing population and have less crime!
Any stats on how many of the perps are illegals -er, undocumented?
Instead of concentrating on this type of crime, the transit bureau in queens seems to be more concerned about arresting as many people on the subways for sitting on station stairs or having their feet up on the train seats and for not having any identification. The powers that be in the Transit Bureau should get their prioritits straight. How can the cops be out there preventing more serious crimes when they are all busy processing nonsense arrests like this?
The cops don't always decide what statutes to enforce........it's all about numbers!
