TA are bike Nazis.

TA would never condone vandalism. TA is actually a by-the-books organization that often disagrees with more radical measures (and at all times condemns destructive behavior and lawbreaking). TA's goal is to make biking, walking, and mass transit safer, more affordable, and more appealing within the law.

It's already a felony if it costs more than $251. the problem is the police will downgrade it to a misdemeanor.

What the councilman proposes is politics at its worst because they place the value of their property above regular citizens. Maybe next the city council should pass a law, where they are not required to pay city taxes because they work long hours.

A bit off topic. So I guess when TA attempts to shut down the city for their critical mass rides, they are acting within the law. Crossing through reds and not giving way to pedestrians during those rides shows their true colors. I wonder why TA and their offshoots never issued any statement condemning harassment by the bike community toward other councilman. I guess truth and reality escapes some of the Pollyannaish readers of this blog

He just got on my last nerve! This English language and grammar. So difficult! Ride (present)....rode (past).....ridden (past participle). Either that or the third person rides. Why it is so difficult I will never understand. Just for that the guy should break his other mirror.

T.A. has nothing to do with Critical Mass.

What are you talking about?

How is this any different than the stiffer penalties for hitting a cop (on-duty or off) vs. hitting a civilian?
If the political official was targeted because of what he proposes while serving in office the penalties should be stiffer. If not, then elected officials could be scared to do things for fear of retaliation.

I agree. Enforcing the law gives added protection, so why not writing the law?

You mean retaliation from their leaders: Silver, Skelos and Quinn? You certainly don't mean voter retaliation? Just the thought of that, made me laugh so hard I just wet myself.
