What is that waddling behind Sliwa followed by a Guatemalan flag ?

Um, that's not a Guatamalan flag. In fact, it's not the flag of any country I know of. Probably just the flag of the band, which is also carrying an American flag.

That actually looks like a Dominican Republic flag.
Anyways if you saw the parade, or look closely in the picture you can see that it is not part of Sliwa's group. It was actually part of the band in the white shirts.

Steve behar was in whitestone and little neck hes everywhere in the community (unlike the district leaders)or former assemblywoman
i did not see sasson, however, i salute him for his service to our country

That Francis Lewis marching band is terrific. They went to the Little Neck parade later in the day

I saw Steve Behar marching with the Knights of Columbus in College point and he was at both Whitestone and Little Neck/Douglaston.

i agree with Kevin. the Francis Lewis H.S. band and R.O.T.C. style marching group are always the class of the Memorial Day Parade at Little Neck /Douglaston ,Queens.
a band,The Tappan Zee Bridge, was the class musical group. dressed in black and playing "GOD BLESS AMERICA" and "AMERICA". they were excellent.
i missed the military marchers,U.S.Navy.U.S.Marines,U.S.Army and the Rolling Thunder.
