Once upon a time P-Pond was a wonderful largeice-skating spot in the 1950's. For Miss Heather's information, the pedestrian path once went to Cunningham Park but was cut off by the construction of the Clearview Expressway to the west. To the east, this path went all the way to Alley Pond Park with an underground tunnel under Springfield Boulevard and following a path along the Grand Central Parkway's wooded area between the GCP and Sawyer Avenue.
