Wind spreads fire in Laurelton
From Eyewitness News:
Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in a row of homes in Laurelton, Queens.
The fire broke out at about 4:30 p.m. at 225-06 Mentone Avenue.
High winds caused the fire to spread quickly to four other neighboring homes.
12 firefighters suffered burns but are in stable condition.
No civilians were injured.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Police did find a badly decomposed body inside a nearby home as they were evacuating people in the area.
The investigation is ongoing.

I go past places like that often when in Queens and they are a nightmare.
Ancient, full of wood, bad mods including wiring and some even have common cocklofts.
Buy them out E-D if necessary and tear the fucking firetraps down.
This is the twenty-first century, NOBODY should be living in shit like that.
If you lived in neighborhoods liked that instead of passing through, you wouldn't be sharing that. They were beautiful. There's nothing wrong with wood housing.
