From Fox 5:The NYPD says a man was found dead in a hotel in the Flushing section of Queens on Saturday.
It happened inside the Flushing [M]otel at 34-50 Linden [Place].
When officers arrived they found Juan Henao, 23, unconscious and unresponsive lying on the bed with a gunshot wound to his head.
He died at the scene.
There have been no arrests made and police say the investigation is ongoing.

That image, not the Unisphere which is outdated by the generation by now, is the image of Queens to the outside world.
Both Linden Place and Farrington Road are notorious hooker areas, probably because of the quick egress via either Northern Blvd or the Whitestone Expwy.
If there is no police tape or suspect search (crime scene related) its likely not a homicide but a suicide.

That neighbor has been a hooker area ever since I moved to Flushing 25 years ago. At that time, there was a women shelter located where the Queens Patrol's North is. A lot of hookers were from that shelter in those years.
That hotel should not have been there in the begining. From the photo, the rooms' windows do facing a yard with 30 feet deep minimum.

Here's a tip to wanna-be murderers: never do the job in a hotel, there are video cameras all over the place.
