Halloran a big spender

From the Times Ledger:

Even as City Councilman Dan Halloran (R-Whitestone) testified before a federal grand jury Monday about his claims that city Sanitation Department workers in northeast Queens engaged in a deliberate work slowdown in the aftermath of the Dec. 26 blizzard, he was still fighting the financial battles of his 2009 campaign.

The freshman legislator has not paid tens of thousands of dollars in debts owed for services rendered by at least three vendors — including two campaign consulting firms — during the hard-fought race, which ended 15 months ago, the two firms said Monday.

As of Tuesday, Halloran owed The Traz Group, of Marlton, N.J., more than $50,000, according to Ed Traz, the company’s president. Halloran owes Advantage Inc., of Arlington, Va., $10,688.45, according to the company’s vice president, Aris McMahon. Both consulting firms are preparing to sue Halloran, Traz said, though several other vendors said his campaign had settled debts with them in full.

when the (rino) bloomberg administration and local civic and d.o.e. activists conspired to convert the playground to sitting park, at P.S.159 Q in Bayside, they wasted the reported $3 million.

halloran was not a CM then.

the play space had been locked for many years prior, and for months after the so-called modernization. a waste of taxpayer dollars and an insult to the community teens and parents.

when Halloran was elected CM, he had the park/playspace opened during the day, seven days a week.

it appears that the left wing so-called n.y.c. journalists have begun a hit campaign on one of the few conservative representatives elected.

they can't demonize President G. Bush anymore. they seem to evade that we are now paying $2.63/gallon of gas, extremely high heating oil prices, high property taxes, and highest income tax in the U.S,while a community organizer in the White House is working towards a one term office.

the U.S.electorate rejected 63 liberal/democrats in 2010. the local dictatorship can not stand a checks and balance system of local government. ttheir tactics continue to be DEMONIZE...DEMONIZE...DEMONIZE...

happy 100th birthday,PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN..

More demonizing from the demonizer.

Just because the New York Times has published an article that shows Halloran in a less than flattering light, it doesn't mean that it isn't true.

He opened a playspace seven days a week? Wonderful. Let's see him refute the charges against him, or have the "three sanitation employees" come forward.

I thought the article referenced was from the "Times-Ledger"? A Queens newspaper noted for their impartial, accurate, unbiased reporting. NOT

The New York Times ran an article as well.
