Someone picked this house up at an estate sale under market with the big get rich quick idea of maxing out the FAR and flipping it... Pretty big mess for just an additional 515 sq. ft. of living space, no?
Why would this block be zoned R5B if not to encourage this type of eyesore?

This crap has been going on for the past several years along Selfridge Street in Forest Hills. It appears Bukharian bad taste has invaded south of Queens Boulevard.
Middle Village has quite a few properties of these Mini-me-mansions most all of them were built by the Vicari Construction Co. They are the leaders in enabling residents in turning their tiny ranches into gaudy out place structures that neighbors laugh at.
Unfortunately the Vicari's workmanship doesn't hold up well and there are numerous reports of shoddy workmanship causing structural issues and water damage.
Now that's a post! That thing is a crime against our community. Thank you Crappy for posting this.

Since Bukharian isn't a race, that wasn't a racist comment. And they sure do have shitty taste. gaudy as hell and unfriendly toward the environment. "Who needs grass and trees? I make house with 100% lot coverage and park 3 gas guzzlers on lawn!"
Same old crap everywhere now in New York. This should have ben stopped 10 years ago. Now it's a cancer here.

I know exactly where this is, on 11th Avenue just north of 18th Street in Windsor Terrace. I've been walking past this eyesore for over 2 years and there has been zero progress on it.
