Charlie in more hot water

From the NY Post:

The Federal Election Commission is investigating a complaint that Rep. Charles Rangel improperly used his National Leadership PAC to fund his legal defense on ethics charges for which he was censured Thursday, The Post has learned.

The FEC is acting on a complaint by the National Legal and Policy Center filed after The Post reported last month that Rangel paid nearly $400,000 from his PAC.

Lawmakers are only allowed to use money in their individual campaign funds for legal fees, or they can set up legal defense funds for such costs.

Rangel appeared before the House Ethics Committee last month saying he could no longer afford legal counsel after already burning through $2 million.

The center expects to file a second complaint this week contending that Rangel's PAC money included at least $195,000 in donations from lobbyists with business before the House Ways & Means Committee, of which he is a member.

Strike while the iron is hot - zero in for the kill, already? Censure was too harsh? How about paying for criminal indictment on your own dime Charlie. You got your local followers (BLINDED) and your Liberal & party supporters (BUT HE DID GOOD FOR HIS PEOPLE) will someone please reveal what he actually did - did he bring back enough bacon to Harlem or not?

of Official Conduct

"As to other possible uses of campaign funds – including for meal expenses, travel expenses, vehicle expenses, and legal expenses – the FEC regulations provide that the Commission will make a determination as to personal use on a “case by case basis.” Id. § 113.1(g)(1)(ii)."

Sounds like this time he's going to get a hand slapping and a time out. Poor Charlie. The government is so mean and cruel to him.

Didn't they send Wesley Snipes to prison for tax evasion recently? Just wondering.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit can't people leave clay davis alone? He's a simple man who was horrifically punished by the powers that be for the terrible crime of trying to bring light to the common people.

I bet they'll find him guilty and give him a "shame on you" finger motion as punishment.

Please and give out dunce cap to the voters in his district? Didn't he provide $$ for improved education years ago for his district, I guess it didn't rub onto his constituents, no? Or are they blinded by old school reverse discrimination tactics?
