To The Editor (Queens Tribune):
Notwithstanding Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s promise to relocate many of the Willets Point small businesses, he has now owned up to the fact it was all a charade. As a holiday present, notices have been sent to many of the businesses requiring them to vacate the area by Nov. 30, effectively making them all unemployed. This should come as no surprise since Bloomberg has made it clear he has no mayoral interest in the poor; no interest in the middle class; and no interest in small businesses. His constituency is limited to the rich and fat cat real estate moguls.
In passing, it should be noted Bloomberg has been Mayor for about nine years. Can anyone point to a half a dozen things he has accomplished in that period of time that has significantly improved the lives of the poor, the middle class and the small business person? I doubt it and in my opinion history will not judge him kindly, justifiably so.

Shocking news. How terribly, terribly shocking that Bloomberg would be party to that.
Not only has HPD sent notices of eviction that pertain to property where tenant businesses operate, but EDC has eliminated potential prime relocation property from consideration; EDC has failed to follow through relocating business that have agreed to relocate, and whose relocations have been approved through the City Council; and Helen Marshall's plan for tenant businesses remains under lock and key for two years (if it even exists). This is a disgrace on all counts. The Willets Point business and property owners are correct to not tolerate it.
Nyahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
3-1-1 will be his legacy.
I'm not hungry for cake. I hope Mayor Bloomberg opens breadlines down at City Hall, and I hope it will be soon.
Bloomburg will go down as the WORST mayor NYC has ever had. I even think he has topped Dinkins. This little emperor has no regard for the middle class or the poor and no regard for any borough other than Manhattan. He paid off judges to extend term limits so he could have a third term and after he received his term, turned it back to two years, but provided all his cronies on the City Council extended terms. We voted for term limits TWICE, yet he usurped the will of the people he is supposed to represent. Anything he doesn't like he pays people off to change to his liking. His only agenda is to pad the pockets of his developer friends, the City Council and himself. He doesn't care about anyone. He's a spoiled little bully and has destroyed New York City. He had the nerve to say that Obama should get better Economic and Financial Advisors. He should practice what he preaches. We suppposedly needed him in office for a third term because he was going to be our Financial Savior. You can all do the math on that one.
No one with real substance had the balls to run against him during the last two elections, so quit complaining!
The way it's going, if you still want to remain in the city, is to move to the Bronx. Forget about Brooklyn, aka the Manhattan Annex.

Claire
It's all about the legacy of Mayor Moneybags.
He needs to retire to Bermuda. Let's see if that government will put up with all his crap. Better yet, send him to Boston so he can decimate that city.

Right in time for the holidays. He did the same thing to the residents of the Cedar Grove Beach Club on Staten Island. Notice given December 1 to be out by December 30th.
I really can't stand this man. He is heartless.

None at all - He destroyed Queens - wiped the middle class from NYC. Barely maintained police protection and otherwise an empire builder.
1. Pedestrian plazas in Mahanttan
- helps the poor and middle class by giving us someplace to rest our tired, weary souls and bodies.
2. Helps to boost community morale - names street after local "hero" Sean Bell
3. Helps local business
- admitted to buying his socks at Filene's Basement and ate a dirty water dog for photo op.
There you have it folks - 3 things he did to "help" us during 9 1/2 years.
How much has Bloomberg made in overseas tax shelters a/k/a legal money laundering?
The same tax shelters that all of these whopping 2% of our population made that are crying poverty that paid to finance Republican Senators made themselves?
The same people that YOU voted for.
The Great American Swindle.
