Well, Crappy, now in addition to starting to morph into Channel 2 News, you have branched into the History Channel.

Whats next, the View?

As I've been saying from it's inception:

This site is s-o-o-o educational.

Bullcrap - typical right-wing insanity.

YES there were negative campaigns YES the founding fathers had their disagreements BUT they were NOT insane as many of our candidates in this particular election are AND they were courageous, brilliant AND although they disagreed with each other at times - RESPECTED the other. They could have NEVER accomplished the INCREDIBLE job they did as individuals or as a team if they didn't.

You should get a job at Fox.

At the time, they were accused of being insane.

And to think that fundamentalist follow the Constitution to the word. LOL

Here we go again Babs is acting unstable. I was about to bring up Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton to the "all knowing" Babs but George beat me to it. I bet Hamilton was muttering "I thought you respected me dude" as he lay dying from the gunshot wound.

Calling reason.tv a right wing website is not even accurate. Trying to discredit information because you don't like the source is not a sign of a open minded, liberal thinking person. The shame.

Babs said...

I knew about the duel between Hamilton and Burr FYI - that though has NOTHING TO DO with what they quoted Jefferson, etc. as publicly saying.

sorry - no cigar.

Queens Crapper said...

Are you kidding me?

Better learn your history, Babs. Here's another "right wing" website, About.com!

Detective McNutty said...

Just sad Babs. You will never learn anything if you are so intolerant about your sources. Your comment was that the founding father's "RESPECTED the other" but as we all know they did not, just ask Hamilton's feelings on that. I don't have dementia but I still remember that Hamilton and Burr were founding fathers. So yes they are germane to your comment. I don't know where you come from but when a political argument ends in bloodshed that is the ultimate sign of disrespect.

Educate us on how the reason.tv video is a product of a right wing mentality. It is just trying to debunk the sensationalism in political coverage.

The founding fathers ARE Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton.

The Republican Party is the party of the insane.

That's is ALL I have to say in this thread.

Detective McNutty said...

Babs just did the equivalent of knocking over the game pieces during a chess match. I suspect you got that list of founding fathers from Wiki, you didn't even change the order of the names when you copy pasted. If that was your source of who should be considered important to the creation of the country then I understand why you missed the whole point of the Crapper's post.

You need better sources than Wiki when trying to back up your point , Wiki is not credible or reliable.

The President's has mentioned his hero was Abraham Lincoln. By your logic Abraham Lincoln is insane therefore President Obama is insane because he idolizes Lincoln.

From wiki article on "Founding Fathers"

American historian Richard B. Morris, in his 1973 book Seven Who Shaped Our Destiny: The Founding Fathers as Revolutionaries, identified the following seven figures as the key founding fathers: Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton.

Rand Paul is not immune to stomping on heads via his goons if some one asks about the jobs and employment in a playful way. Either is he really concerned about the land or environment as some libertarians pretend to.

Do people on here really believe in some benevolent savior from big business being an "outsider" to the political world?

WHA? you read THIS is MY comment?

BTW you SAID Burr was a founding father Id.

It's good that Lincoln is being mentioned.

Would someone care to elucidate on the campaign charge that led to Lincoln's famous quote during a debate with Stephen Douglas:
"I do not understand that because I do not want a negro woman for a slave I must necessarily want her for a wife."

Of course this was rather tame compared to the colloquy between Congressman Preston Brooks and Senator Charles Sumner on the Senate floor two years earlier...

Yes, things are far worse now.

How so? Has any president since Lincoln suspended habeus corpus?

Babs if you were born in the US maybe they should take away your citizenship because your grasp of American History is quite poor if you don't think Aaron Burr was a founding father. Trying to use Wiki to prove your point is sad, even the publisher's of cliff notes laughs at Wiki. Morris never said these men were the only founding fathers. He was simply writing about the seven most influential founders of the revolution.

There were other men besides these seven who had a hand in the creation of this country. If you want to be more technical then one could say the founding fathers were the signers of the declaration of independence and framers of the constitution, but I am sure even you are aware that history isn't made by these few men.

It took more than your seven to create our government and yes many Historians consider Aaron Burr a founding father. Maybe you should research the life of Aaron Burr, you might realize he was much more than the Hamilton's dueling buddy.

Semantics Detective. I read about the founding 7 on the internet, so it must be true. The internet NEVER lies. ;)

The sad part is Babs believes fiction over facts. She gets an F in American history. Pop always said the left leaning people were doomed to repeat history.

Babs said...

Heh IDIOT - those who DRAFTED the Constitution are considered FOUNDING FATHERS.

And NO MOST historians do NOT consider Burr a founding father.

You friggin' ALWAYS lose the argument - why do you even bother though arguing with ANYONE. You are an idiot - face it already.

Blabs said...

Um actually, I take it back. I am the asshole idiot.

I always thought the one who first resorted to name calling and derogatory comments lost the arguments. The person who proclaimed "That's is ALL I have to say in this thread" but then came back to post two more comments, lost her position of credibility. Finally using wiki as your source is the third strike.

p.s. the fourth strike if one can call it that, was saying that the founding fathers respected each other. If you researched further you would realize that Hamilton committed the ultimate disrespect toward the principles of the founding fathers, when he endorsed a monarchy. I'll light that cigar now.
