From Fox 5:
U.S. authorities deported a record-breaking number of illegal immigrants this fiscal year, half of whom were convicted criminals, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano announced Wednesday.
Statistics show that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), an agency under the DHS, deported more than 392,000 illegal immigrants nationwide -- 23,000 more removals than in 2008. Of those, 195,000 were convicted criminals -- an 81,000 jump since 2008.
Napolitano credited these increases to the Obama administration's expansion of the Secure Communities initiative, which prioritizes the deportation of dangerous criminal aliens.

Most will be back.....
How many of the this bunch were repeat deportees?
I was watching Border Wars on National Geographic and everytime they ask the immigrants who are caught about the difficulty of crossing over they say that it is getting harder.
Good!
Now strip Tommy Huang, a convicted criminal, of his U.S. citizenship (if he has any) and deport him!
He's a public menace.
Si....bueno.
I swim the Rio Grande and come back again and as soon as I dry off my back I'll get drunk on your Main Street while I'm waiting for work.
Likley bullshit--They caught more at the border (and deported more at the border)then had obamas press agents write this piece of crap for the AP feed
Napolitano is a F_ing joke give sherrif Joe the job
To Anon no. 6:
Very predictable that you'd say that.
don't let the door hit ya on the way out! :)
Just passed all the illegal day laborers on 69th street between Queens Boulevard and Broadway in Woodside. When will the INS be coming for them?
If these statistics are to be trusted (a big IF!), it may be one of the few good things of the Carter Administration........oh sorry.....Obama Administration.
Imagine it this was happening during the other idiot's administration (Bush II) - the Lefties would have their panties all in a bunch.
But since it's happening during Jimmy Obama's reign - YAWN.......
how about they deport the illegals using Hart playground as their home
Convicted or not, all illegals are criminals that broke our American laws. They should all be deported -- no questions asked. They should bring all their anchor babies with them when they go. I'm waiting for one honest politician who has the balls to enforce our immigration laws.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
Support Arizona in their fight to be right. I do!
What's Andy Cuomo's take on illegals? Isn't he the current Attorney General? Why hasn't he done anything about this problem? Why hasn't he contacted the Feds? If he is ineffective as Attorney General, how effective will he be as Governor? Just asking?
WHY COULDN'T BUSH AND CHENEY DO THIS WHEN THE PROBLEM FIRST STARTED? WE WOULDN'T HAVE HALF OF THESE LOW LIFES HERE NEXT OUR CHILDREN, TAKING OUR JOBS, AND LEECHING OFF OF OUR WELFARE SYSTEM AND NOT PAYING TAXES.
MELTING POT MY ASS!
Don't blame Bush. The flood started with the Clinton administration. It's politically correct to coddle and embrace all the illegals. That's why nothing has been done about it. Every president after him is guilty of doing nothing. The Democrats love the illegals because they are cheap labor and they don't have a vote. The Dems have job security this way.
"The Dems have job security this way."
And you are saying the Republican controlled Congress of 8 years straight had nothing to with cheap labor and outsourcing our jobs to make way for the uber wealthy of Wall Street?
