CB7 didn't realize there is a sewage plant in College Point

From the Queens Chronicle:

A scheduled update for Community Board 7 Monday night on the Tallman Island Water Pollution Control Plant in College Point ended up confusing members and leaving embarrassed Department of Environmental Protection officials without answers to all the questions.

Before the presentation even began, members asked what Tallman Island is and where it’s located. Many were unaware that it is a waste water treatment plant located on the northern tip of College Point, off Powells Cove Boulevard and 127th Street.

It is not surprising, they always forget that College Point is a part of CB 7 and don't do anything for College Point anyway, so why would they know what is there.

Perhaps it's time to give a neighborhood knowledge pop quiz to all prospective community board members.

What morons.

Look it seems that we in the connecting corners of Middle Village, Elmhurst and Maspeth are forgotten areas as well.

There is a good reason for it - you like us are in a quiet little area putting up with everything around you, middle class, paying your taxes and getting squeezed financialy.

When you need something, the city responds in this matter as incompetent and now your wondering what are these idiots going to do to solve a problem - it just not fair!!

If you did nothing, pay no taxes but are on the receivng end getting housing, food, schooling, childcare and a stipend to go to the movies then you would scream bloody murder to get it solved ASAP because your entitled!

So as middle class folks here in Middle Village or College Point start hollering, screaming that you are going to riot in the streets, overturn city cars and storm the sewer plant and set it on fire so that the Tea Party comes to the rescue to scare the bejesus of liberals who stealing your money and witholding services!!

Typical "Community" Board shit.

Do away with them all and do away with a lot of the special interests that have totally overcome our system.

Was Paul Vallone one of the confused CB7 members?

I don't know much about the Tea Party but I get a sense that some of those folks simply want to be heard and served and are tired of the BS and being ignored.

So as individuals we each need to stand up for what we want and get vocal - it does not need to be in any party or flavor of the year but take you issue and write, scream, vote your beliefs.

I am not going to sit passively and let other trample me or my rights and I am going to get vocal about what I don't like and I want it fixed or addressed right now!

Paul Vallone is he the one that got arrested for smoking pot in Astoria Park and daddy had to make it go away or was it the other Vallone?

When just when is the Government going to investigate these ignorant criminals that "play dumb not to go to war"? Chuck, Gene, Marilyn, and the puppetmasters on the board need to pay the piper. Who are the puppetmasters you ask? just look who is on the board current, past, and present, and what they do for a living. Investers, engineers, developers, land owners, lawyers and you will figure it out. My question is if we can why cant our judicial branch of government?
