From the NY Post:
Disgraced former state Comptroller Alan Hevesi is expected to plead guilty to at least one felony corruption charge this morning in connection with the huge pay-to-play state pension story that has rocked the office he once held.
Sources said Hevesi was due to appear in state Supreme Court in Manhattan at 9:30 a.m.
The sources said Hevesi had been taken into police custody earlier today.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has been investigating Hevesi and several of his former top aides including his longtime political advisor, Hank Morris, in connection with kickbacks that were paid by investment companies to gain access to the massive state pension retirement fund.

That photo doesn't look like a mugshot...
Does senor Hevesi have to go through the "process" like all of us or does he skip the bookings and just get a Desk Appearance Ticket?
A public official like private citizens does not merit a perp walk or other dehumanizing acts. In the case of a public official, resignation from office under a cloud of suspicion at times is emotional distress enough for them to endure.
So, Anon-1, where does a private citizen go to "opt out" of a perp walk after an arrest? That's some handy information.
Hevesi = "Twerp Walk"
Seems he got his family first class vacations in Israel as part of the scandal. I was shocked to find out the Jewish connection. Cough cough.
He was arrested "by appointment". first he was indicted, then arrested on the indictment. So there wouldn't be any perp walk.
Me! Me! Me! Don't forget me!!! What am I? Chopped liver? If giving over $1/2 million to the North Flushing Senior Center isn't a red flag...then what is?
To anon no. 5: It's as surprising to see that as it is to see anti-semitic comments form someone like you. Cough, cough.
Agree with anon #8, let's focus on the real issue here - anti-semitism. Clearly the Honorable Mr. Hevesi is a victim of an anti-semitic conspiracy.
"In the case of a public official, resignation from office under a cloud of suspicion at times is emotional distress enough for them to endure"
So he is a corrupt politician, comittes crimes while under the guise of Comptroller and the distress is enough for him to endure?
So he abuses his power and the emotional distress is enough. Are you fucking kidding me?
To anon no. 9:
You miss my point. Hevesi is the victim of nothing. He is the victimizer.
That's the real issue. bringing up anti-semitic crap is what's irrelevant.
jump ball!!!,the game plan is to appear to convict a political pal,but he will be exonerated after" you know who" gets the vote from the brainwashed five dems to one republican/conservative/independents in n.y.c.
Nice mug shot!
This all means nothing Hevesi will get a pass and walk or he's Jewish !
This is more about the November elections
"This is more about the November elections"
No, it was about the September Primary. Joe Fox is out and there is no Republican running against Hevesi Lite. (or is there?). Obama's justice department wouldn't screw a local tweeding Dem, would it?
Andrew Cuomo was just on WNPR
Quote:
"With Mr.Hevesi's guilty plea, we can now focus on the process of restoring the public's trust in government."
LMAO! :) :) Does Cuomo II really think the publics gonna buy that oral crock ?
Lowest of the low. Next...
It is really a shame that this criminal's son is in the Democratic primary. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Mom's the best state senator that money can buy. Why is she being ignored?
Dan Hevesi?
I do not believe the charges against Alan Hevesi. He is a white man. It is impossible for him to be a criminal!
Throw the sleaze bag in a cell and let him get buggered!
