According to NYCHAs website the QUeensbridge houses are home to about 6,000 people.
Assolutamente d'accordo con lei. Ritengo che questa sia un'ottima idea.
E 'vero! Ritengo che questa sia un'ottima idea.
Ist das nicht großartig Google übersetzen?
The Queensbridge Houses and the Astoria Houses at Hallett's Cove have been secretly touted by Maloney and Vallone for the last 10 years to be converted into 'luxury' crap. They have had the ear of developer lobbyists for years about this. The only saving grace about not throwing these people onto the street and importing 'New Wealth" for a chance at waterfront condos is that these are Federally funded and protected. It would take some serious maneuvering to overturn these housing projects that are so desperately needed for senior citizens and people under the poverty level to get by in.
22% of the people in this city and growing are under the poverty level and have no place to go as they age and places like this are desperately needed for our aging population and should be EMBRACED, NOT DESTROYED BY GREED.
The plan to stick 10,000 more high end units on the waterfront in this area that has an overwhelmingly overburdened infrastructure now is just a ploy to eventually maneuver these people out and should be stopped at all costs.
I still do not trust Maloney & Vallone to not try something eventually with these buildings. If they do, they should be put in jail immediately.

This city is full of people who believe they are entitled to pay less than the market rate for their house/apartment.
It is so warped now, that even considering phasing out the government picking the winners and losers in subsidized housing with its dependency class, is considered "greed".

The city is filled with 5 or 6 illegals driving up rent in one space. Now the market is warped with overheated demand to the point where Americans will start to double up the way they used to in the former Soviet bloc.
This is about meals, and about hungry old people who relied on that place day in and day out. They are our neighbors. This closing follows the closing of the Glenridge Senior Center earlier this year. Common thread is the DFTA. WTF? (And that is why i get angry when i read about $21 million to put in 75 seats in a cabaret in a Queens theatre.

Not everybody makes 6 figures - like you. You greedy pig.

Market rate IS NOT charging $2,500 for a 1 bedroom when the surrounding apartments are going for $1,200.
THAT'S called greed. Get your facts straight, Mr. real estate agent.
