A stingray?? Did anyone ever go to the aquarium?? That looks like the dorsal fin of a shark, folks. I'm surprised they didn't mention dolphins or porpoises. But stingrays??
Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu to you ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so never more shall we see you again.
Actually, it might NOT be anything other than debris floating on the water which happens to have an extension that looks like a fin... notice the 'pattern' and the flow movement with the 'ocean'... it drops down and then up and repeat with the flow of the 'ocean' water.
It could be a prank played by someone to release this 'debris' shark-alike.

You're gonna need a bigger boat!
Idiots. Those are porpoises.
What's their purpose?

A shark DOESN'T move like the flow of the ocean. If it really is a shark, it will have the fin consistently up.
The beach has closed repeatedly this season due to this. Twice when I was there.
