I've looked it up and the College Point ferry left from 14 ave and went to 99 st in Manhattan and Classon's Point in the Bronx. I'm not 100% sure but it most likely is.
The map here: http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Map/Queens.1910.1.html shows the routes in 1910 with a connection with North Beach.
I have a book (Lost Trolleys of Queens and Long Island, Stephen L. Meyers) with a photo on pg 21 showing the ferry slip and can barely make out the ferry's pilot house and the tall smoke stack by the gantry that looks similar (but not conclusive, I admit)to the photo shown.
Just for the record, I don't know where it is going/coming from. The photo does not provide any information about that. I just assumed it was between Manhattan and Queens.
Didn't see that either. From the apparent size of the boat, this might not have been going to Manhattan. It might be one of the boats that ran from Staten Island and Brooklyn. I went on that ferry when I was very young. My memory on this could be faulty, but I don't think that those boats were the same size as those that went between Staten Island and Manhattan.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. Where was this? It doesn't look like one of the boats that was running between Hunters Point and the East Side.
Could that be the ferry from College Point?
That went into Manhattan? Tehre was a ferry between Queens and the Btonx from Whitestone.

Could be the Astoria ferry to 92 St in Manhattan.
