Queens bloody crime roundup

In Queens, a gunman leaned out the window of a speeding black sedan at 2:30 a.m. and unleashed more than a dozen shots, hitting three people stepping out of a house party, police said.

"The shots were really loud," said a resident of 167th St. in Jamaica. "It woke me up - continuous shots, probably about 20."

Daniel Guthrie, 19, was killed and two fellow revelers - one 21, the other 29 - were wounded.

Neither survivor was cooperating with police, cops said.

Police say a hammer wielding husband brutally beat his wife to within an inch of her life in the East Elmhurst section of Queens.

The man attacked during a dispute inside their home on Ditmars Boulevard just after 4:30 a.m. this morning, according to cops.

His wife was brutally beaten and rushed to Elmhurst Medical Center in extremely critical condition.

The husband was placed under arrest and charged with assault.

A bloody hammer was recovered at the scene.
