From NBC 4:
John Liu, the city’s new comptroller, has instituted a “Zero Gifts” policy for his staff.
It means they can’t take so much as a cup of coffee or a bagel from anyone with whom they are dealing.
Liu has sent out a memorandum to his staff forbidding the taking of any gifts, of any value. “I think,” he told me, "that such an action is necessary to help stamp out the pay-to-play culture that has plagued so much of government.”

Oops. Please substitute comptroller for councilman. My bad. Long day.

So then how did Liu secure his Party' endorsement for Comptroller last June?
what a fucking shit head who wants to receive money from placement agents.
This city sucks, no one is held accountable. all you need to do is check his contributions. the maximum contribution received from flushing residents who state they only donated 50 dollars. These people live in a low income neighborhood and yet they donated 2,500 to Liu. He funnel the money.

Does that include people holding fund raisers for him?
He then has to throw his own, no?

Coffee and bagels for the hired help? Forbidden!!!
However, suitcases full of unmarked, non-sequential ¥100 Renminbi notes from People's Liberation Army operatives delivered to Johnny's office are gladly accepted!

What a shame. I was going to give Liu a flat screen TV for Christmas.
After Mr. Comptroller liu (stand up when he enters the room please) has had his fill at the pork trough...he now forbids anyone else to slurp their slop!
There's no crook like a reformed crook.
Now Liu's gone straight (legally speaking that is).
We don't know about his other preferences.
