From the Times Ledger:
Police have charged two College Point residents in a major drug bust that recovered nearly a kilogram of cocaine, three handguns and $58,000 in cash, according to Detective Kevin O’Donnell of the 109th Precinct.
Abriel Carela, 23, and Monica Vargas, 19, were arrested at 8:07 a.m. March 4 in their home at 9-11 125th St. after an officer saw a plastic bag of cocaine on a kitchen table and a strainer containing cocaine in clear view while performing a parole visit to Carela, who has eight prior arrests, according to the Queens district attorney’s office.
Officers secured the house and obtained a search warrant, eventually recovering nearly $60,000 in cash, a .9 mm pistol, .40-caliber pistol and .45-caliber pistol, a box of ammunition, and 911 grams of cocaine, O’Donnell said.
Police also found 84 envelopes filled with heroin and more cocaine in a bedroom in the home and a safe containing cocaine and a number of prescription pills, according to the DA’s office.

A neighborhood can't be vibrant without the Hispanic drug dealer kids down the block.
Oh good, then my block is fairly vibrant these days.
When I call the 111th I'm told that they can't do anything because the deal will be over by the time they get there. I suggested they come over and watch and they refused. Thanks for nothing 111th!
Good to see that Colombians are making a FAT profit in QUeens.
The war on drugs is the BIGGEST waste of tax money ever.
I live in College Point and I call the cops at least weekly to report a drug deal going down right in front of my mothers home. They tell me the same thing, they'll be gone by the time they get there.
Wow that's just horrible. Glad these assholes got busted!
Im willing to bet my right leg those cops didn't see anything through any window!!! They showed up there Fishing>>> for what ever they could find! More then likely illegaly searched the apartment, found narcotics/guns/money..... and only then called in for a search warrent (so there story sticks in court) and then you, me and the rest of the world hear about it.......... Don't be fooled! Those cops break more laws then the accused perp. (cop lingo lol) 9 times out of 10! Then they're praised as some type of hero!!! If we're both breakin laws>>>who's to call who what??? Im only speaking from experience! Those cops are as crooked as anyone of the suspects they arrest!!! N I live in Flushing and have been dealing with those same kind of dirty police all my life!!!
