From Eyewitness News:
Police on Long Island have identified a body found by a meter reader to be that of a missing Queens mother.
Police say 39-year-old Jamaica Smith was found in a boarded-up home at 621 Kruss Street in Uniondale, and the case has been declared a homicide.
Smith has been missing since the day before Thanksgiving, last seen dropping off her 6-year-old daughter at the Laurelton School.

Im sure the police dept is breathing easy, the body is found in nassau county........it doesn't register as a nyc homicide.No "number" in compstat speak.
Even if they had to drag her over the county line themselves...
A neighbor in my building is still wondering about a mysterious death in Astoria followed by the turning up of a dead body in Richmond Hills.
