Ackerman gets called out on the carpet

One of Congressman Gary Ackerman's constituents didn't like the shenanigans that went on during the Kim-Halloran race. So he wrote Ackerman a letter expressing his outrage.

Ackerman replied.

And he was called out for being a bullshit artist.

Coming up tomorrow: an original in-depth article by the letter writer exposing the big steaming pile of crap that's been hanging out on Northern Boulevard for way too long.

That's a great letter!! And Ackerman's response is total bullsh#@ !!!

But how come you didn't call him out on the escort service ads in that paper, since it's quite obvious he's still calling the shots?

RE: the accompanying photo where Ackerman and his lackeys each raise both arms to test their deodorant, here's a tip:

You each stink, and it's not the deodorant; it's your total lack of ethics and ordinary decency.

The stench eminates from your lying and abuse of media.

The stench originates in your brazen use of a person's religion to win an election.

Here's the news: Halloran won anyway. You lost anyway.

Wait until Nov. 2, 2010 when the job will be finished.

Now if only a decent candidate opposes Ackerman...RU listening dumb ass Ragusa?....Gary could be dumped for good.

Puh-leeeze don't put up that lethargic dope Liz Berney again.

That will guarantee an automatic Ackerman win.

Good job Alan!

You're doing what voters are supposed to be doing...examining the record of elected officials by calling them to task and exposing any shortfalls of future candidates!

Democracy works only if the electorate uses their smarts to ask the right questions.

The voters are supposed to be the boss...not the other way around!

Its about time we start to take the media to task for being lapdogs to developers and the machine.

Good work!

Isn't the lady at the end Koren Dafni? She's a major seller and buyer of real estate in Queens. I think she was a top seller for Century 21 a few years ago.

primadonna-
Patience is a virtue. The second shoe drops tonight and I address that issue in the article that I wrote exclusively for the Queens Crap blogsters. The Crapster deserves birthday presents. Right?

To a former Congressional staffer-

Your comment reflects the reason for my proactive letter writing and research into various topics that impact our daily lives. The overdevelopment is becoming an understatement. I was in Forest Hills yesterday and I couldn't believe all of the McMansions that are there or being built! Some of those homes are beyond gaudy and the lack of lawns can't be a good thing for the environment.

I have been witnessing the deterioration of our quality of life over the last few years. Most of our elected officials have disregarded our concerns and are perhaps benefiting by facilitating such construction or by looking the other way. I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. Where have I heard that before?

Yup. It looks like Koren Dafni to me. Google her name and mug. I found her on Facebook.

This site is sooo educational AND exciiiting!

Thanks but no thanks. I prefer my role as it is. I also have a gut feeling that you will be pleased with Dan. However, shame on you! A teacher should have noticed that Ackerman's spelling skills leave a lot to be desired. Check out how he spelled publicly (his version is publically??!!??!). A misspelling from a public official is unacceptable and a sign of the lack of respect that he has for his constituents. I forgive you for not noticing. ;>)

By the way, his is the only response that I received! You may recall that I wrote a letter to David Skaggs requesting a Congressional ethics investigation of Ackerman and sent copies to Representatives Boehner and Pelosi. My concerns are being ignored. A dumbed down populace plays right into their hands. I can't thank the Crapster enough for giving me a medium to vent and share knowledge. Maintaining this site is not an easy task.

As I indicated earlier, part two is coming tonight when my article about Ackerman and the 19th District Council election is posted. My journalistic skills were a little rusty but I want to express my appreciation to those who helped me hone all of the information into a cohesive and readable form. You know who you are! The inspiration came from the frustration at seeing how current news media are not reporting on corruption that would keep it in check. People tell me that one person can't make a difference and I am hoping to prove them wrong.

Ha Ha Ha
Wasn't Ackerman a school teacher? He can't spell publicly? Maybe he was thinking pubicly??? Or pub"lick"ly? Ragusa...get off your ass and recruit a candidate that could give him a run for his money. Time for a real change in Washington and this is the best place to start.

Alan:

I DID notice that misspelling, just didn't comment on it. Perhaps he was so nervous writing back to you, it impacted his spelling skills. :)

I have a suggestion:

You want to make him shake in his boots some more? Get your neighbors, friends & family to write similar letters. The more the merrier. It will make of a difference and possibly get him to give you a REAL response. You could impact the results of the next election! Hey, ya never know.

Actually, I stand corrected. A wise and sage Crapster showed me that although it looks weird, the word can be spelled either way. Once again, the Crapster shows us the truth! Thank you, birthday globe.

Follow the money back circa 1982 at Queens College RE the school newspapers (printed by who) and why the student organization sold their off campus houses to the school, which were turned into the parking lots - who profited, and how the elections were rigged! (Not kidding)

Who wants to deny all of you the right to express yourselves as well? Feel free to inquire about the Ackerman investigation:

"Publically" just doesn't seem correct.
I think it's publicly.

Don't mean to nitpick.

Alan Gross wrote a great response there. Impressive. I actually thought Ackerman's response was fine, but after reading Alan's response to the response, I feel otherwise. GO ALAN!

PS. I really like Kevin Kim and I REALLY think the Tribune lost him the election

Actually, Kim was out of his league and unfortunately used by Ackerman and the Tribune. However, the tactics that Ackerman/Schenkler used exposed them and made them vulnerable to criticisms that may have never seen the light of day. Is the MO of that team? Kim is a nice fellow but he would not have been a good councilman. The people made the right choice on this one.

Thank you for your kind words. I think that the exchange that I had with Ackerman speaks loudly to the point that these elected officials think that a response to a letter or a handshake at a public event placates the constituents. WRONG!!! I have serious concerns about his ability to serve when there are questions about his ethical judgments and shady associates. I am sick and tired of seeing our collective tax dollars being used for purposes other than for what they should be allocated to. I certainly let him know in my first letter that I called for an investigation and I spelled out the reasons for the request. His response didn't even come close to addressing my concerns. However, I did get him to admit that no candidate should be demonized for his or her religious convictions. But the point that I made in my letter really hits home...why didn't he stop the attacks on Halloran and make it clear that the issue of paganism had no place in a city-wide election? Also, his denial of his involvement with the Tribune was pretty pathetic.

At blimpport.com you can find out all about Alan "AirshipAl" Gross and his majestic idea for bringing blimps to Flushing Airport. I can picture the scene now, as giant, 200-foot balloons circle in the flight pattern of LaGuardia Airport. Who needs those pesky planes when we can putter around at at cool 20 knots?

Asshole much? The FAA and elected officials were contacted and kept in the loop. The airspaces are controlled and a corridor existed at the time that allowed small aircraft, helicopters, blimps etc. to use the airspace. The adjacent communities supported the plan because they wanted to maintain the corridor and not have LaGuardia's jets flying overhead which are far noisier and more polluting. Before posting, why don't you do some research? TROLL!!!

It happens now asswipe or haven't you noticed the blimps hanging around Citifield and the tennis stadium during the summer? Whatever hole you crawled out of...feel free to jump back in. Alan's plan was community friendly. It must be "Ruffles" being sent here by the "Ack Attack" crew. If they can't take the heat, they sholdn't have started the fire!

How true. That is one of the main reasons for my coming forward. Instead of sticking to the point of this post, the commenter chose to personally attack me. Too bad it didn't work. It does speak to the point that the Ackerman/Schenkler crowd divert attention from the main issue when it puts them in a negative light. You can't fool most of the people on this blog. They are too intelligent and aware to fall for that crap.

Speaking of Flushing Airport, the project that was chosen, the Korean warehousing and wholesale center, was defeated by the same community that supported the blimpport project.

Allow me to refresh your collective memories. Standing proudly next to Mayor Bloomfuck when the project was made public was our comptroller-elect John Liu. When I say "our" I meant those of us in the 20th Council District. Not only was Councilman Tony Avella not invited to the soiree, the Flushing Airport property lies in the 19th Council District represented by Avella and not the 20th! I was the victim of tweeding and not a poorly executed or well thought out plan. Any more questions about the blimpport? Ask away. The truth is not pretty but it may embarrass the folks you are trying to help.

Stick to the issues fella...not the blimp port.

There's damning truth in Alan's article that smearing an honest citizen can't cover up.

A mountain of shit won't re-bury what was just unearthed!

This sounds more like mega cubic yards of Congressional hot air leaking from the Ackerman asshole.

Why bring Helium airships into the mix?

Oh...more personal insults used as diversionary tactics...typical Tribco solution.

Hasn't that Trib Halloran/Kim front page cause you 3 enough indigestion already?

Want some more "Congressman" Ackerman?

Stick a fork in him...he's done in the next election!

Ackerman, you're chicken shit! How come you can say “But no person—or newspaper, for that matter—should hold up others for contempt or derision because of their race, faith or ethnicity.” to a constituent in a letter but you never did come forward with that sentiment or try to stop the attacks. I hope that you are not re-elected. You must be getting desparate to start begging for campaign money now for a November run.
