We have them in Astoria Park too. I love Redtail Hawks because they kill rats.
Yeah, I've seen one around 42nd st and 50th ave too. It was a shock at first :) Totally unexpected
I've seen kestrels with the remnants of an avian meal. That's the circle of life, folks.
would love to have one in maspeth!! it can feed off the hundreds of piegons on grand avenue :)
Redtails eat more rats than pigeons. To kill pigeons you might want to wish for Cooper's hawks.
