4-Alarm Fire Engulfs Four Bronx HomesNEW YORK (AP/ 1010 WINS) -- Officials say four firefighters sustained minor injuries and another person has been hospitalized for smoke inhalation at the site of a four-alarm fire in the Bronx that engulfed at least four houses.
A fire official said early Monday the blaze [at 1308] Findlay Avenue was declared under control shortly after midnight, three hours after the first call.
More than 200 firefighters responded to the fire. Fire marshals will investigate the cause of the blaze.
The officials says the fire started in one house and spread to adjacent buildings.

Tell me it's an immigrant who owns this property. Immigrants are different, they don't have to abide by US law because they are so narcissistic, self centered, could care less how much money the City spends on Fire Department and now medical care for the fire victims.

HP actions from tenants re: lack of essential services,no heat, no hot water vermin, including bed bugs,
illegal lock outs by slumlord
excessive events when slumlord turned off electricity and/or gas.
excessive court actions taken on tenants of illegal SRO
how many times housing court judges ordered the owner to remove appliances from illegal apartments/rooms and when.

Don't leave out Middle Village. I have called 311 and the Department of Buildings numerous times on a illegal basement apartment. They are still renting it. (About 5 yrs now).
Fighting a losing battle. Mayor Bloomberg does not push for enforcement. He thinks there is not enough housing in this city and as long as they are not in Manhattan he don't care!
