Rockaway A trains undergoing major overhaul

From NY1:

A subway rehabilitation project along the Queens A subway line will mean station closures for at least the next six months.

Starting Tuesday, Rockaway-bound train platforms at the Beach 67th, 44th and 25th street stations will be closed for ongoing work.

The Manhattan-bound stations at Beach 105th and Beach 90th streets will be closed from September 14 through December 21.

When work at those stations is complete, the opposite platforms will close.

The same pattern will happen at Beach 36th, 60th and 98th Street stations, and finally at the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue station.

The work is expected to be completed by mid-January.

The $117 million project for the stations includes new canopies over the stairs and platforms, new lighting, and replacing platform edges with warning strips.

Free shuttle buses will be provided during weekend closures.

How about giving the Rockaways back their H train, instead of a crappy shittle?

The H Train was a crappy shuttle also. Remember the round robin?

The H was always a crappy little shuttle. Same thing, more or less, different name.
