Taking crap to a whole other level

Hey, is that a one-family house with a green lawn in both the front and back? This is the 21st Century, and we can't be having that.

Here we go. That's a much better use of space. We can pack in at least 8 legal units here and lord knows what else. I'm sure the electricity and sewers can handle it. But can we possibly make it stand out as one of the gaudiest, most visually offensive pieces of Queens Crap?

Yes.

Yes we can.

I hate that this is happening. It seems like we are fighting a losing battle. Zoning and zoning laws aren't working either! I am sick of this....really sick!

Wow could this thing be any uglier! Looks like one of those catering places that have been popping up in our neighborhoods that just threw up on that corner!

Is that a church?

Dont see this in Brooklyn Heights now, do we, but we see our taxes used to subsidize that community while we have to live with this shit.

Stopping this is easy, a 2 step process.

1. Overturn the landmarks law - it is biased against immigrants and poor people and uses public funds. Soon we see stuff like this next to Prospect Park and the West Side. The gentry will howl. Then they have to talk with the other 90% of NY. ahhh....

2. Pass legislation that has an important public education component. Force the rich communities to subsidize it (instead of the other way around)

that will be the day. Immigrants are trashing NYC. all they care about are the remittances to send to their country of origin.

Couldn't the mayor plant some trees here to hide the monstrosity?

I agree with the blogger who said the immigrants are trashing our neighborhoods because most of them are just here to send money home. I wish it were different. If everyone cared about their neighborhood we would all be living in a better place!

Immigrants trashing neighborhoods? If the machine was less ready to fall over themselves and liberals were not so politically correct, the immigrants would be a powerful force for good in this country. Sure you have slugs, but you can say that about any group.

They left their home and their families and their familiar surroundings to come here either for their families or to make money - something that was true in 1609 as 1909.

What is needed is to create the climate of respect. Instead our leadership simply encourages them to look at a piece of property as a way station, a hole in the ground to make money.

Gaudy and visually offensive?
I get the backlash about adding dwelling units, but calling this gaudy is a stretch.
