Time for Joe to go

Dear Editor (Queens Chronicle):

I’ve called Congressman Joseph Crowley’s office on several occasions to inquire where he stands on key issues, as well as to comment on his inaction for years in addressing the growing graffiti blight in his 7th District. Each time, I was told that the congressman does not discuss policy by phone and I would have to access his website — the assumption being that all of Mr. Crowley’s growing number of unemployed constituents have on-line access. Does the phrase “Let them eat cake” come to mind?

My dear fellow Queens constituents — when are you going to realize that keeping such politicians in public office since the buffalo roamed is killing us as a nation? Crowley has become so complacent that he doesn’t feel the need to review major legislation such as the stimulus and cap and trade bills before he rubber stamps them through on strictly partisan lines, without a care as to how they affect the majority of his middle-class constituency. It’s long past time for Joe to go.

The man lives in Virginia, for heavens sake! What do you expect of him?

He inherited the estate and did not have to work for it, so he never had to make his way in the world.

As long as his wranglers brand the cattle and his ranchers milk the cows, he doesn't need to visit the spread, only collect the income in true absentee landlord fashion.

A typical old school crooked ward healing NYC Irish politician.

"What is it about shanty Irish pols who come into money", as my Irish friend once asked me.
"When they go bad they really go bad"!

If he's so decent why doesn't he work for the people who voted him into office?

Sean.harton must be a regular at the Crowley coctail parties. The decent man comment is a disgrace.
Crowley lives in Viginia and doesn't care about the people he is supposed to represent. If his India constituents weren't around, he would have nothing. His cousin has the same blood. A do nothing. Time to get rid of Joe and let him try to make a living like the rest of us. He could never do it.

Exactly - so how do we address this - this happen over & over especially with the most lame, dead wood incumbents such Crowely. It's an injustice that we have only 2 party system. We need a semblance of a strong third party to run candidates from against these sorry slate of professional POLS.
