Hiram uses campaign funds for legal bills

From the Daily News:

Sen. Hiram Monserrate spent about twice as much money as his raised over the past six months and used $14,500 worth of campaign cash to cover legal bills as he fights felony assault charges, according to his most recent filing with the state Board of Elections.

Monserrate started the six-month period with $137,790 on hand, raised $42,450 and spent $86,878.

Contributors to the Queens Democrat included two of his fellow amigos - Sens. Carl Kruger and Pedro Espada Jr.

Well, you can't expect him to serve if he's in the pokey can you? Campaign cash, so flexible, buys advertising, office space and bail!

Put the whole friggin' Dem clubhouse in jail right next to Monster-rat where they belong!

Can you imagine Joe Crowley as a "Maytag" (someone who does Bubba's and the cellblock's socks in the laundry)?
