Bloomberg a secret beer lover

From Slashfood:

Earlier today, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg officially proclaimed July to be "Good Beer Month." The declaration came at the request of a local collective known as "the Good Beer Seal."

At least he has one good quality that I can agree with. Domestic or Imported ?

He even looks bitter and angry while having a cold one. There is nothing I like about him.

Theres nothing wrong with enjoying micro brews and craft beers as long as you dont act like an elitist d bag thinking you're better than the next man who enjoys Bud.

So our turtle-beaked milionaire narcissist is cracking down on smokers, wihle promoting beer. One vice for another?

That is the point. Archie and Edith are being eased out as their communities are trashed with development, starved for infrastructure, and denied services.

Meanwhile, the Mayor is busy abuilding our city where only clueless midwestern kids, clueless immigrant tweeded, and couldnt care less international cosmopolitans are welcomed.

Nice way to break NY's legendary spirit, eh?

Actually, I would have left it at "There's nothing wrong with enjoying micro brews and craft beers." That's how ALL beer used to be. The watered-down pilsners produced by the big three oligopolists are a relatively recent introduction to the beer (mass-)market. Prohibition killed off most of the good stuff, and only in the past few decades has the micro resurgence brought good taste back to American beer. Respect Beer!

Funny how with Mr. Bloomberg's anti-smoke adds choking the air waves, he seems comfortable with alcohol drinking. Does he realize that during his two terms the number of bars in the city has probably tripled.? Well, that's really irrelevant, I'm sure

"...during his two terms the number of bars in the city has probably tripled."

Are there data to back up this dubious assertion?

Is that a good thing or are you complaining? Seems like having more pubs would be a sign that the economy is doing well. Of course, the need for booze would triple during his two terms because he is causing so much stress, would be a negative.

This makes me sadder Budweiser. I believe someone heard the mayor say to the beer bottle, "Will you be my Ballantine"? The bottle repled, "Of Coors! Would you also like some Busch? It might be Schaefer if we meet in private next time."

Ummm, most of the bars closed after the smoking ban. Oh wait, in Flushing that was only the American and Irish bars, they have all been replaced by Korean HOFs and "Business Bar Rooms" which allow smoking, don't have licenses, and harbor illegal activity such as prostitution and gambling. Obviously they don't pay taxes either. Thanks Bloomturd.

I am sure the number of bars is increasing. The last few years of Bloomberg would drive a Morman to drink and a Seventh Day Adventist to hard liquor.

WOW, he's such an everyman...........i mean fag!

don't kid yourself he'd smoke a cigarette quickly if it could get him more votes.
