I was walking down Queensboro plaza yesterday and another of these clubs had been closed down for numerous building code and fire violations. Somebody didn't get his payoff.
If you guys don't want to see strip clubs in your city then move to Tehran... We are free in this country to participate in this kind of activity that doesn't cause harm anyone but contributes to the economy
They were not good enough for Manhattan, so they were dumped on Queens.
No one says they can't exist, but they make the revitalization of Queens Plaza difficult. And who wants that at the gateway to Queens?

A strip club is awesome till you have to explain to your little girl why women dance with no clothes on.

The yuppies want the strip clubs replaced with more shitty towers like what's next to the strip club on QP North. Because THAT'S progress!

Interesting to note what has, and hasn't, come to pass.
I went upstairs to Cityscapes for the first time a couple of years ago. A friend was having marital problems after a couple of decades and decided, for whatever reasons, that this was the place he wanted to discuss them. Shockingly, he and his wife worked it out and they're going strong!
This was the night I spoke the words that get me mocked by friends to this day. A topless, buxom young woman leaned over me and I said, "Are you Estonian?"
She was.
queens was fully developed for the 60s in the 1960s. but it aint the 60s no' mo'
In 1961, the new zoning was passed to allow for 30 million people to move in by 2000.
They didn't.

People may mistake Blimpie for the Cityscapes main act..not good for business!!
Is "Cityscapes" closed for business permanently? Also, does anyone know the status of "Scandals" across the street? It looks like the local government is looking to shut them down and they are fighting it...does anyone know how likely it is that they are closed down?
