- Glibness and Superficial Charm
- Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.
- Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."
- Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.
- Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
- Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.
Doesn't this perfectly describe our elected officials? Unfortunately, the above came from a textbook about sociopathic tendencies...

Perhaps we cannot learn the pathologies of every candidate who apply to us for the job, but, what we can do is keep these people dancing to OUR tune.
Every election day, switch your vote to another party.
Never be predictable. Don't let any politician think he/she knows your next vote.
If you believe a politician is lying, trust your own judgment and dump him/her! If a politician lies to you even once, you know he/she has insulted you and will continue to lie to you just for sport.
If a politician is making no sense, trust your own judgment. The politician is, indeed, making no sense. Probably because he/she is unprepared on the matter and would rather babble than promise to be back to you with sensible remarks. Clearly, the politician doesn't care enough about the subject to get properly informed.
No matter what else, dump anyone in office if you are not pleased. Your loyalty must be to your own and your family's interest, not to the interests of a cheesy politician.
Please leave our politicians alone. They're just like movie stars. They put their beautiful beaming pictures in the community papers.
My name is John Loo and I resemble those remarks!
