Making money ...
Astoria: I think voters should be leery of a supposedly astute businessman who is willing to spend tens of millions of dollars of his own money for a job in which he draws virtually no salary. One might also want to consider that, despite these trying economic times, Mike Bloomberg has managed to double his wealth during his tenure as mayor. I guess he's just a lucky philanthropist.

... and killing trees
Manahttan: Mayor Bloomberg is the phoniest of phonies. He pretends to care about the environment while casually flying around in his private helicopter and jet and producing more pointless campaign flyers and mailings than anyone in American history. What's wrong, Emperor Bloombucks, having your name appear thousands of times a day in the press isn't enough?

I like him. I like him cooked. And since his pro-development programs nearly killed me, I look forward to seeing his goose cooked this election day.
I am sick of his campaign flyers. We get two at our address because my wife did not take my name. By the way, where did he get our names? How stupid does he think we are? All he keeps saying is jobs. Jobs. Killing a million trees for campign propaganda--that should be his slogan.
It's amazing to me that Bloomberg isn't trailing Thompson or Weiner. You would think that the number of dissatisfied people out there would be large enough to leave the mayor trailing both candidates. I don't know why either challenger hasn't turned up the heat on Bloomberg. He can easily lose this race if either candidate were interested enough in tapping into the discontent among a silent majority of people here. It's ripe for the taking; why don't they want it?
I think there are a lot of dissatisfied citizens who really don't like Bloomberg. His people play him up every chance they get. His photo ops, his mediocre spanish, anything to get him on TV or in the news. It's just a marketing ploy. His people want you to believe he's popular. I don't know of anyone who likes him. What we need is a strong person to emerge as his opponent. Once that happens, he's toast. Vote him out.

He is trailing, the polls they take are from the people who are gonna vote for him, he has'nt and wont poll the people who wont vote for him. His polls mean shit to me.
If he feels that he is a shoo-in, why is he spending mega bucks NOW when the election (coronation) is in November? He realizes that he is vulnerable. I know it seems like a longshot but I am liking Avella more and more each day. Perhaps this is a remake of David versus Goliath? Wouldn't that be something? Power to the people and not just the rich people!!!
Bloomberg likes it hard in the a$$. Let him spend millions on his campaign and let us vote him out and say SUCKER BITCH.
i have to laugh and the title, lmao..... it should read everyone HATES bloomass.
this man thinks everyone loves him, maybe in his head. love the fact he was a no show here in maspeth, because he knows everyone would of chanted NO THIRD TERM, asshole........
have a happy and healthy memorial day :)...
Ever wonder why Mr. Go Green Mayor who bans cars in Times Square now, heads to the bahamas every weekend on his PRIVATE jet and returns with no tan?
Rumors are that he goes to fuck around with boys.
You mean he doesn't get enough f#ck#ing the voters of New York City?
He will win because he will pay off the dems just like he bought his republican spot on the ticket. Then he will spend so much money, maybe 150 million, convincing those who really do not pay attention that he is the man for them. He will win! The only way to prevent him from winning is to not sign his republican petition. It is up to all the republicans to NOT sign his petition. It is a long shot, but the only one we have.
He's become wealthier while being Mayor because he's not actively involved in running his firm. His hires for his company are better managers than he is.
But after 8 years, he still doesn't have great political skills. He still sometimes says the wrong thing when the right thing to say is very simple and straight forward.
