When someone points out that a Mayor lies, defies the will of the people, tries to steal their property - you try to delegitimize their viewpoint bc they don't promote another candidate???
Maybe you should defend the lies and theft before asking anything from other people.
I will develop the pictures of my collapsed ceiling and destroyed for him and have them ready for his arrival.
If I have time, I intend to take pictures of the empty lot where the house was "accidentally" knocked down by a builder, the houses whose roofs were destroyed by a building, and giant unfinished pit on 18th street that was a potential child-trap for several years (now, thankfully fenced).
I should have time to print out the DOB reports showing the numerous violations, and if he has a spare minute or two, he can swing by and see all of these since they are a 5 minute walk from each other.
I can't wait to hear about his plans for more building.

He is starting his walk through Queens in a safe place where no serious political discussion has been held in a generation or two: Astoria, where, like most of the western Queens communities (Sunnyside excepted), an area with weak civics and the home of Party Boss Rule, where political reality is their whim, and their words printed in the press is accepted as gospel truth.
2. The only local group that might have challenged him, is LICA, which has become a vehicle for political wanna-bes (they are holding a pro-LBTG rally in Athens Sq in true Astoria fashion ignoring what the community wants, and dodging real discussion about real issues like zoning)
3. You are going to have speakers recognized in the audience that will ask preordained questions (and Bloomberg ill have scripted answers to) that will avoid anything relating to term limits or city council or a city out of touch with its residents. The focus will be on issues that no local pol has any responsibility: Con Ed, power plants, Con Ed, airport, Con Ed, the benefits of 'planned zoning', Con Ed, NYC2030 (and how Astoria will proudly shoulder its share of several hundred thousand people).
