EZ Pass to track you around Lower Manhattan

City officials announced that E-Z Pass transponders will be installed on the bridge, as well as several other spots throughout the streets of lower Manhattan below Canal Street in order to monitor the flow of traffic and come up with potential ways to ease congestion in that part of town. The Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center will be in charge of the project, which they emphasize will not be able to detect either license plate numbers or the drivers inside the vehicles.

Well if they have your EZ Pass number, then they basically know your license plate # and who you are. Could this be the first step toward sneaking congestion pricing through the back door?

(This graphic and the one of the tweeder military marching through Willets Point were both created before either event took place... my clairvoyance is starting to scare me...)

These RFID scanners will also work on these New $80 plus tax License plates the Govoner has been talking about.

Eventually I think they may roadway tax us by the mile.

put the e-z pass in the foil envelope to foil their tracking

Could this also be a step towards identifying "offenders" who annoy the Commissar? Annoyance punishments could be harassment by various city agencies: water, tax, buildings, etc., to uncover any number of violations that need further punishment. Property seizure via eminent domain could be used as an enforcement tool.

November 3 is your day to take control. Use it to expand your freedom! Use it to squash the Commissar's power!

we are entering very dangerous times as a society. what the communists could not succeed doing during the cold war, the democrats are doing to us in peace times.
I just hope people wake up to what is going on in the next two elections, otherwise it's over for the US of A.

Eventually---its called "Stealth Government"
NYC also has the Bloomberg SS in office to ram it throught.

You can bet your life on it !!!.
Unlike EZ pass you cant put foil over your license plates.

For example if the speed limit of a highway is 55 and you ping 2 scanners in under 55 minutes some computer and cyber judge in Albany sends you costly speeding ticket ?

The Government is getting that desperate for $$$, its only going to get worse

They've been doing this for a couple of years on the Northern State. Those digital signs that tell you how many minutes until exits X, Y, and Z use random EZ-Pass tags to calculate the times.

If you're worried about privacy, don't display your EZ-Pass. Problem solved.

We have an a##hole who wants tolls on bridges....what an idiot!

Mayor Bloomberg hates to lose. He wants Congestion Pricing and won't stop at anything to get it. He is so persistent. He wants Manhattan a gated community. One that you have to pay to get into and out of. Foil your EZ Pass!

BLOOMBERG MUST GO!!!!!

Regrettably, American is rapidly becoming a Fascist state. When you demand privacy, people say, "What do you have to hide?"

I remember when nosiness was a cardinal sin. Meanwhile, if women and children are being beaten, raped or murdered, no one sees "nuthin'.

Example, our pal in Jackson Heights and some of the voters who insist his actions don't disqualify him from being Senator, and probably will still believe this as they cart him off to the pokey.

C-mon...the CIA (etc.) can already track your ass anywhere via satellite by your heat signature.

Confided to me by a former "company" man!

SO FUCK YOU... CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY (ETC.)!

Now let's see just how long it takes for them to get into my PC
and further mess up my already shoddy Bill Gates "XP Professional" system.

O-o-o-o-h...
I'm quaking in my shoes!

Don't worry about the CIA, they have other fish to fry. I would worry more about our corrupt local politicians who are now putting Boss Tweed to shame.

At least the original boss had a few lumps of coal and a back-breaking subsistence job for the working class man fresh off the boat.

The new breed will steal the eyeteeth out of your head and send you a dental bill.

Inspect away Congestion! The city should toughen inspections for medical, psychiatric and vehicle reasons to cut down the number of congestion. This way, we will also get the voters against congestion pricing, who live in Bayside and Staten Island, to move away. Free health care means psychiatric care for all those angry talk radio white males!
