I hear his family is related to the owners of Vallo (let's poison our neighbors with CO2) bus company. The busses are parked right under peoples windows 5 am running.
Paul Vallone is a LOBBYIST for the greedy developers who are hell bent on destroying Northeast Queens.
He works for his Daddy's lobbying firm and they take in millions of dollars in fees from developers and real estate special interests. The same developers and real estate special interests are also funding the Paul Vallone's City Council race. Look at his and his Daddy's filings as Lobbyists at: http://home2.nyc.gov/lobbyistsearch/
Then look at Paul Vallone's campaign contribution filings at: http://tinyurl.com/cvfagz
I could've sworn I saw Vallone at the rally to landmark Broadway/Flushing in Bowne Park acouple of weeks ago. Now, wouldn't that mean he is FOR landmarking?
So far, the best person to fill Tony Avella's shoes is Jerry Iannece, who has actually lived in (and served the residents in) this neighborhood for 15 years.
Steve Behar has done alot for College Point. Graffiti removal group. When Schleicher house tenants and Steve went to testify at LPC. He did a great job standing with tenants. Steve ahs gone out and done the foot work. So we thank him. Avella supports Steve to take his seat. Fact.
I wish Avella would run again too... but I just sent him a "C" note contribution for his mayoral run and I urge everyone to send him some campaign moola.
It'll be matched by the city. So my $100 becomes $200!
I feel he's got a strong chance to win especially in this economy.
Bloomberg is looking like the shit bag he really is...despite what those "polls" are pumping out!
"It'll be matched by the city. So my $100 becomes $200!"
So just imagine if everyone who reads this post did the same. It's been said that the internet really helped Obama's campaign. Why don't we do the same for Avella?
The C-Note actually is matched at 6 to 1! The $100 is worth an additional $600 to Tony's campaign for a total of $700.

While you're at it, show a little love for Steve Behar's campaign too. He's already working hard for College Point and contributions to his campaign are also matched at 6 to 1.

Steve's the only one in that race that pays any attention to College Point!
"To be perfectly honest, I'm not impressed with any of the candidates for Avella's seat and wish he would run again."
Since Tony is a man of his word and opposed the bill that rescinded term limits, it would be hypocritical for him to run for a third term, no matter how good he is for the neighborhood. I just wish he was running for something other than Mayor, since he unfortunately does not stand a chance against Mayor Moneybags. Tony would have made a great Public Advocate, or Queens Borough President, and maybe he could have turned either of those positions into a job that actually does something.
I think there's also a candidate who might be a disabled veteran. I saw a postcard with a photo of someone in a wheelchair. Sorry, didn't catch the name, but it might be Cooke.
they are all full of shit and i wouldn't trust any of them. they are only out for their own and friends interest. they will come and ring your bell and promise they will be there for the community and then they pull domain crap on your community. they need to get new fresh faces of young people who don't have family inside or retired, that know how to rip everyone off.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. From Tony to THIS guy?
Note to other candidates: show your community pictures of Astoria -
the dying shopping district,
blocks and blocks of day workers,
Old Astoria demolition,
ugly 15 story barracks next to two story houses,
anything with the name Pisstilli -
and ask them if this is what they want for their community.
Yep....a classic pincer movment.
The Vallones have caught the borough in the middle of their grasp and are closing in fast!
And after he's finished his dirty work out here he'll sell his house and move on.
That's been the family tradition.
He looks like a reject from the old SNL "coneheads" sketches.

Don't let them buy our City Council seat!
True....the Vallones always mark their new turf by pissing on it!
Get your pooper-scoopers handy
northeast Queens.
The Vallones are also on record as being anti-landmarking so take note Broadway/Flushing and don't hand over your votes to this scurvy dynasty!
La Famiglia di Vallone has already raped Astoria so don't bend over in your bathtub.
Don Paolo's at the bathroom door!

Vallone was at the Broadway/Flushing rally.
That doesn't mean he's for landmarking. It means he's a hypocrite!
but he has a nice smile, suckers that's how he would reel ya in...

ha ha ha
Go down to Old Astoria. EVERY YEAR at least two 150 year old homes gets torn down.
I think he lives in the Broadway/Flushing area. But I don't know for how long he's been here.
Avoid Markel as well!
"Italian girl"... I'm surprised that such a savvy lady like you is so naive in this respect.
Paul Vallone is a pol and will pose for a photo with any voting group to imply that he supports their cause.
Notice how sleazy "chooch" Jerry Ianecci
was also on hand at that rally.
These events are magnets for political opportunists!
Remember campaign promises are meant to be broken.
LOOK UP THE VALLONE FAMILY'S RECORD.
They take tons of money from developers.
Look at the neighborhood they've left in shambles....Astoria....by NOT supporting landmarking for Old Astoria Village.
This was a pre-civil War enclave of grand and gracious homes along the river.
Now it's crap.
Over development saw to that.
And La Famiglia di Vallone just stood by and watched it all happen.
I know someone who was fighting a developer who built right up to their house.
They went to Vallone and Vallone. They paid a fee. Got some vague reasurrances.
And they waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Finally pressed to resolve the issue. Was told nothing could happen.
Following week the local paper had a picture of a barbeque. A picture of beaming Vallones and their good friends, the Pisillis.
They will bring new things to the community.
Bayside needs roving taco trucks and a wider array of Peruvian and Bengaldeshi cuisine.
And certainly hookah places and 99 cent stores will add just the right touch.
HOW ABOUT EL MUNDO DEESCOUNT EAST?
""Italian girl"... I'm surprised that such a savvy lady like you is so naive in this respect."
In my first post, I actually intended sarcasm which clearly didn't come across. Oops.
Oh and thanks for the savvy compliment.
:)

Sort of have a hankering to see some Beldar, Prymaat, and Connie Conehead skits on YouTube. Don't know why.
Sorry I didn't catch your sarcasm "Italian girl".
I wasn't at my sharpest that morning.

Tony has officially endorsed Steve Behar.
For those who are interested, Jerry Iannece's website is:
http://www.jerryiannece.com
Almost didn't recognize him without the goatee.
Steve Behar, a progressive community activist, will defeat Paul Vallone and be the next Councilman from the 19th council district.
I wish you luck Steve!
