Panera giving away free coffee
From the Queens Courier:
Some Queens residents will get a special treat next week as three area Panera bake shops will give away free cups of its light and dark roast coffees as well as samples of its three grilled breakfast sandwiches.
The Panera locations in Glendale, Long Island City and Little Neck will run the promotion from the store’s opening through 8 p.m. so coffee lovers have many opportunities to try these new-flavored coffees and snacks.
Panera’s Long Island City store is located at 3801 35th Avenue and its Glendale store is at 7325 Woodhaven Boulevard.

Another cutesy lil food place designed to fail in this economy.
Yes just a chain restaurant, and I prefer local places but I dont think they will fail when there all over the country in just about every state.Look it up.Its the Mcdonaldsization of the country thats been going on for a while.
Their breads are wonderful! Stop in and pick up a loaf to take home. Better yet, stop in and have a lovely bowl of hot soup and half a sandwich of tomato, mozarella and basil! Delicious.
Only problem with announcing this is that the lines for ordering will be longer! Believe me!!
Doesn't the Courier reporter know the rules for writing an article-- What? When? Where? Why?
What day are they giving these samples?
All week.
The food at Panera is good although a bit pricey... I went a number of weeks ago after getting a gift card for Christmas and had a great meal...
Everytime I go to the Woodhaven Blvd shop, it's empty. How much business could they be making in such a dreadful spot?
The Glendale Panera is doing well. I have been there 3x--all early evening. Pretty full but still room for more. A clean, well-lighted place. Bread is good. The soup and sandwich can run a little high if you get the whole sandwich not the half (who wants that?)but they are tastey. I see couples there.I have not been there for breakfast but will--I want to try their bagels. That will be the test.
Another 1000 stores are being closed.
