CitiField is blighted

Spanking-new, $850 million Citi Field is already beginning to rust.

A Post reporter spotted brown water from a rusty beam creeping down the wall of the front entrance of Citi Field's main gate in Flushing, Queens, on 126th Street. The Mets are set to move there in April.

RUSTY START FOR METS

But hey - now it matches the other structures in Flushing Meadows!

Convert City Fields into a gladiatorial venue where corrupt clubhouse pols and their fellow stooges can compete against each other for their very lives!

Let's see just how good Evan and Hiram are with short sword, trident and net!

I'll bet that former C.M. rapist Gallagher wields a mean Thracian knife!

Another Citigroup management fiasco!

Just like its parent organization, this piece of garbage is on the countdown to collapse.

How about its closing price today of $4.53. Just a few years ago, when it wasn't managed by mobsters, the price was up to $87.

This is where our tax money is being spent on "Bailouts".

wilpon will be next with his hands out when he say's he lost his $$$ to bernie and no one is going to see the mets because of their outragous prices and that he might have to move the mets to another city , in steps billionaireburg and presto ballgamebailout

the only bail out the mets need is to get in to the play off because they suck . city bank has to sell

Lifelong Queens resident and Mets fan who now despises the franchise because of how they treat their fans. I went to my last game at Shea this year, and was appalled at what passed as entertainment, both on the ballfield and on the scoreboard. They seemed to be catering to the Los Metos crowd. As much as I will miss Shea, I am glad they are putting it out of its misery. The Shea I visited these past 2 or 3 years is not the Shea of my youth, the one I will always fondly remember. I am now done with the Mets now, they are dead to me. The live only in the memories of the 70's 80's and 90's during their great years and not-so-great years. The new Citifield LOOKS nice, but I have had it with this greedy franchise, and I will never step foot inside the new stadium.

The luxury boxes at Citifield will make perfect platforms for the newly-broke billionaires to swan-dive from during this latest Depression.

I would pay good money to see that, especially if they throw in developers, Queens politicians and some of the new LIC residents. It would be one of the only events that would get me into the new stadium!

Not only is there rust, but I went by there this morning and there is rat bait up and down 126th Street right up along the side of the building where the Mets offices are.
