Anyone who drives in New York has come across those strange-looking parking flimsy signs near construction sites. It's obvious that the city didn't put them up. And how about those "Stop Foreclosure" ad signs with an official looking red stop sign on them?. These are posted on corner lamp posts lately. They're going to cause an accident soon! The other day I almost stopped at one where no full-stop was to be expected.
Many of these "Stop Foreclosure" signs have (800) or (917) numbers on them. They appear to be from the same people who want to "Buy Your Land Now for Cash." Very shady.
They appear alarmist and predatory... and illegal. Why isn't the local press reporting on them? Why isn't the city ticketing them?
