Bloomie unleashes his lapdogs

Hi,

I'm writing this morning to ask for your help in urging the City Council to give Mayor Mike Bloomberg the opportunity to lead New York through the tough times ahead.

You'll remember me as the volunteer coordinator for the Mayor's re- election campaign in 2005. Today, I need your help again.

With a financial and economic crisis threatening our city and our nation, we need an independent, experienced leader like Mike Bloomberg to protect city services, keep our streets safe and clean, and continue important long-term projects like improving our schools, building affordable housing, and making New York the most environmentally sustainable city in the world.

The City Council is currently considering a bill that would extend term limits from two to three terms. There are two things you can do to help make sure that voters have more choices, including the option of keeping Mayor Bloomberg, the City Council and other City elected officials in office:

1. Come to City Hall this Thursday and Friday and testify before the City Council. The Council will be holding public hearings on the term limits bill on Thursday 10/16 at 1 PM and on Friday 10/17 at 10 AM. Anyone can testify; if you're interested in learning more, please call me at the number below or reply to this email.

2. Contact your Councilmember and urge them to give Mike Bloomberg an opportunity to continue serving New York. You can find the name of your representative and their phone number here: http://council.nyc.gov/html/members/members.shtml

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. In this challenging time, we need to make sure that New Yorkers have the opportunity to have their voices heard. I hope you'll help lead the way.

Best,

Neil

"...and continue important long-term projects like improving our schools,"

Yes, let's continue the disastrous plan of running schools like businesses. It's worked out well. Let's continue test-prepping kids until they drop dead. Let's also continue the use of inadequate reading, writing and math curriculums. Oh and keep Joel Klein. He's great! NOT.

"...building affordable housing,"

Well, now there will be tons of affordable housing with the building boom gone bust and the banks in turmoil. The supply will exceed demand and we'll see tons of vacant properties.

Oh, that's a serious post? I was waiting for the punchline.

No, sorry, I am ready for a new mayor. I'm not as impressed with Mike as this guy.

The very idea that Bloomberg is trying in every way to stay past his legal expiration date is reason enough to give him the boot, IMHO.

Here's a crazy idea -- go to http://letnycvote.com/sign-up-to-testify/ and sign up to testify against the Bloomberg power grab.

uuuuuuuuh neilie,
bloomboig's expertise in financial matters consists soley in raising our real estate taxes, water and sewer.
anybody can come up with this,eh ?

only thing HE has going for him is his dollar a year salary.

His experience as a financial bumbler is already a matter of public record.

He didn't see the approaching
tsunami despite repeated warnings!
(Or did he and deftly move
his money to higher ground)?

Do we give Der Fuhrer another chance to f--k up by letting our infrastructure continue to rot
while over developing our city
to the choking point?

HELL NO !

Thanks for the measly $400
real estate tax rebate you tossed in my cup Mike
but I noticed you raised my taxes about $800 the following year!

This chain gang boss runs Bloomberg LLP. like an overseer with mood swings....the same way he thinks he can run a city!

Dump that pint-sized prick!

Here's my opinion Neil:

OINK, OINK, OINK !

No matter how loudly "hizzoner" might squeal, two portions of power are enough for any hog!

He doesn't get thirds without a public referendum!
