It's beginning to look a lot like park land

The former Elmhurst Gas Tanks site, between Grand and 57th Avenues in Elmhurst, was remediated and is now being transformed into a 6-acre public park. For the first time, it's actually starting to look like one. The Queens Chronicle has more.

I must admit, it looks pretty good.

So with all those beautiful trees now planted and expected to remain for the next 80 years...has anyone checked if the trees were installed correctly. If DPR construction engineers had a say, chances are they're all planted tooo deep and may not survive. Thats a lot of lost trees at $1000 a piece.
