Former Buildings Inspector Gets 6 Months Behind Bars

NEW YORK (AP) -- A former New York City buildings inspector will spend six months in federal prison for accepting thousands of dollars in bribes.

Dean A. Massari accepted the money to overlook regulations dealing with sewer connections in about a dozen cases in Brooklyn and in the Bronx, authorities said.

The city Department of Investigation said the 41-year-old Mount Kisco resident was bribed between 2000 and 2003. Massari must also pay a $3,000 fine as part of his sentence.

NYC agencies are out of control.
Bloomberg and the City Council are lame ducks so anything goes now. Wait another 5-10 years when City Hall finds out what all of these home developers were up to during the last 10 years. Shoddy building material and neglect of fire and building codes will have an economic effect like no other NYC has seen.
Thanks to all of our representatives in city and state government who continue to turn a blind eye to all of this.
We will regret it big time.

Maybe a disgruntled inmate who got f--ked by DOB in the past, will "shank" him in the exercise yard
(or at least rip him a new one).

Hey Mike your next. Don't forget the 100's of faked sewer affidavits that were made by you.Joe cut a deal to stay out of long term jail if he turned on you. Guess what? He did. How's that for loyalty. Imagine that -- after all the money you two stole together and all the schemes you plotted he still gave you up. now who's eating the popcorn
