Seventeen years after race riots left the streets of Crown Heights bloodied, tensions are rising again in the neighborhood restlessly shared by Orthodox Jews and blacks.
First, a black man was badly beaten on a Brooklyn street.
Weeks later, a Jewish teenager said he was attacked by two young blacks while riding his bicycle, and angry Jewish residents took to the streets with signs saying "Jewish blood is not cheap!" and "Every Jew a .22."
And along the way, the district attorney accused an Orthodox Jewish street patrol of vigilantism and compared the group to street gangs like the Bloods and Crips.
Racial tensions heat up in Brooklyn's Crown Heights
The strife has revived painful memories of the 1991 riots in the neighborhood, which is home to about 15,000 Orthodox Jews and more than 130,000 blacks.
As summer approaches, leaders from both sides are braced for trouble.

This city is starting to slip back to the 80s.
More and more desperate immigrants without infrastructure to support them.
Less cops.
More grafitti.
More tash and noise.
A poltical leadership without a new idea since the 70s using language from the 30s that bearly goes through the motions.
And unless you are a developer, or a Manhattan yuppie, the city is sending signals that it just doesn't care about you.
So, ignored, problems fester until they burst out in the open.
No sh*t, the Hassads are bringing in Israeli's building managment companys. Some are even buying buildings and throwing all the 2nd and 3rd generation black people on the street.
They have this scam going where "building managment people" dont cash rent check's for 3-4 months then smack suprize tenants with "get out" or endure expensive court proceedings.
....all sorts of other nasty intimidation tricks.
The news editors keep throwing the reports on the cutting room floor (its Taboo when it involves Israeli criminals)
It's happening all over the city but worst in Crown Heights
