Looks like St. Saviour's now has some guard dogs. Actually, they belong to the owner of Sano Construction. More photos here.

Crapper- Is this the same SANO Construction that the developer was using for demolition? The name on the demolition permit, posted here on Queens Crap seems to match. If it is, your looking very hypocritical right now, as youve slammed this company in continuously in previous stories. In one story youve cited the company for unsafe work practices. Why on earth would JPCA use this company. Youve let us all down. If Im wrong, please tell me. I really hope I am.
The photos show workers wearing harnesses and hardhats and doing the deconstruction safely from a bucket instead of being perched on the roof as in previous posts. I would say the proper procedures are being followed here. If you can point something out that looks amiss, I will focus on it.
One of the owner's stipulations in giving the church to us was that we had to use the contractor that the job was started with. They are being supervised by Kai Woo, an architect familiar with Upjohn construction, Russell Powell, a preservation contractor associated with Island Housewrights and a number of others. If adequate safety precautions were not being taken, they would not be working on this project.
One of the owner's stipulations--- we had to use the contractor that the job -------------------------- Trusting Israeli's ? Oh my god what a mistake ! If you ever knew the "payback" red tape your gonna get. Hope you guys are indexing and video taping 24-7 where every timbre bolt and joint goes.
When its down you may need another million $$ ransome $$ or stuffs gonna dissappear or end up torched !!! BIG MISTAKE !!!
I didn't say Why doesn't Crapper censor the bigoted comments, but why don't they exercise some free speech and criticize them? I think it is good to allow the comments to show everyone how ignorant these bigots are. But Christina or Crapper never seem to opine on the anti-semitism or any other racist or bigoted comments made here.
When Lockhart from Curbed and Jake from Gothamist post comments denouncing the racist and anti-semitic comments on their site, then I will do so here. Until then, I'll just continue to ignore them and let that fact piss you off.
What do other sites have to do with it? I don't know about those sites. You are not upsetting me at all, but you are making yourself look like an enabler.
...I think because this blog has the potential to do huge amounts of good for our borough, but some of that usefulness is being blunted by the bigoted comments that occasionally make their way into these threads by a small handful of people.
I don't pay much mind to them, myself, and do my best to ignore them as they're really not worthy of notice. Nevertheless they still stand out, and when a politician, newspaper editor, or any other person of influence happens to visit this site and spot comments like the one above or others elsewhere stating that Israelis or Asians are ruining the world, they're going to leave the site and never return to it, which is unfortunate as they're the ones capable of effecting the changes that the administrators of this site, and participants on it, like myself, are hoping for.
Freedom of speech is a great thing, but so is freedom of rampant overdevelopment. So maybe it's time to make use of some muzzles, to give this swell site an even sharper edge.
"when a politician, newspaper editor, or any other person of influence happens to visit this site and spot comments like the one above or others elsewhere stating that Israelis or Asians are ruining the world, they're going to leave the site and never return to it"
My statcounter reveals that politicians and newspapers visit the site every day, and many online sites link to QC, so I don't believe this point to be valid.
Italicized passages and many of the photos come from other websites. The links to these websites are provided within the posts.
Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. They are not connected to this website and the opinions presented here do not necessarily represent the positions of these organizations.
The comments left by posters to this site do not necessarily represent the views of the blogger or webmaster.

BIG MISTAKE !!!
I have no great love for Israeli business tactics (in general),
but that last poster sounds like an ignorant bigot to me!
Whatever happened to Newtown Historical?
I guess like the neighbors of St Saviours no longer important?
Do I smell a poltician somehow worming his way into the mix?
Why do I never see Christina or Crapper criticize any of the bigoted, anti-semitic comments that constantly get posted on this site?
Maybe because they value freedom of speech. Democracy is messy sometimes.

Why do you care what other people think? If you want to do this, then do it. Don't tell other people what to think or say.
Why should they when you've already said it?

Where is the anti-Semitic comment? I see something about Israelis. Israelis and Jews are not always one and the same.
What do other sites have to do with it? I don't know about those sites. You are not upsetting me at all, but you are making yourself look like an enabler.
The point is why is this blog being held to a different standard than every other one on the web that allows comments?

I want you guys to get something straight once and for all.
