A newly constructed incubator facility in Queens that provides cheap rents to fledgling design businesses is struggling to fill its units. The $6 million, 35,000-square-foot development run by CUNY's LaGuardia College can't seem to fill its six remaining units, despite its rents being as low as $2.50 to $3 per square foot and its location being close to a large community of designers. Amenities include free internet hookups, discounted phone service and courses on design and small business management. Ah crapper never misses an opportunity to bash LIC. I laugh at all the cheerleading for failure of this burgeoning community. Every new construction crane on the skyline mocks your impotence. The genie is out of the bottle, and there is no stoping what is happening here.

This place is notorious for being a money pit only equalled by Flushing Meadows.
Queens gets lots of money for things, but the boro is still falling apart (yes, even those buildings in LIC have an slipshod temporary aura about them)
Perhaps becuase the money falls into the hands of second stringers whose merit is to mouth party lines, rather than real talent.
I was not doing any kind of bashing, just making a suggestion. The property is underutilized and dorms here wouldn't disturb anyone.
Save it crapper, maybe your veiled comments fool people in Maspeth, but not here. The planned dorms are just fine where they are. Thanks for your concern.

I often criticize Crapper for his opinions and statements, but I have defend him on this one. It seems like Crapper actually was making a productive suggestion here and not bashing anything.

completely agree with you. The dorms should remain on paper, as blueprints, and never be built.
These CUNY profs are still handing out course credit for students pimping the dorms!
