That is one of the stupider things I’ve ever heard said,” Mr. Bloomberg said with vigor at a Crain’s New York Business Breakfast Forum, referring to an objection raised by Congressman Anthony D. Weiner that the plan could lead to reduced federal transportation aid. “Are you kidding? It’s insanity.”
In response, Mr. Weiner, a Democratic mayoral candidate in 2009, said he was “interested in solutions, not name calling,” noting his concern that the Bush administration would leave New Yorkers with the “short end of the stick.”

At the same time, state lawmakers, whose approval would be needed for a congestion-pricing plan to be enacted, reiterated their position that the measure had little chance of approval in the Legislature.
This how it should be - Patterson represented Harlem whose citizens would face the same discrimatory issues the bououghs will endure. I doubt the Gov. wants to address this doa issue. It'a loser's proposition to make everyone miserable, except rich Manhattanittes.
Thats ok, whenever someone on this blog is confronted with something intelligent the first thing they do is resort to name calling. Yuppie, hipster, dimwit, dumbass - sound familiar?

Democracy is so messy and fouls up the machine.
I will bet Mayor Bloomberg can improve chances of his congestion pricing plan being approved if he includes a mechanism to base rates on ability to pay. If he would really like to improve its chances he should include private planes flying into regional airports and the ability of those airplane owners to pay. But then, he always seems to have ideas to whip people into being green, without ever considering ability to pay, and we all know that to him as a multi-billionaire these $8.00 fees mean absolutely nothing.
Weiner is good for nothing and Bloomberg is just plain bad.
