You probably thought this house was in Queens, as it looks like so many we have here. It's actually in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, and is part of an historic district despite its obvious alteration. A house like this in Queens would probably go for about $600,000. But since this one is in a preserved neighborhood, it's going for $1.3 million. They're asking for $1.3M. It remains to be seen what they'll get for it. Top prices in the area have been reserved for houses without major irreversible alterations, or where someone else has already done the dirty work of restoration.
Article says the house across the street sold for $1.9M. So $1.3M is not top dollar, but it's still a hell of a lot more than one of these would go for in Queens.
Half of Queens can be landmarked if this house is an example. Archie would roll over in his grave dealing with the LMC regulations, I suspect he would take the money and buy another nearby.

We recently heard that the LPC
will only be designating ONE historic district
per fiscal year.
So they're not capable of multi districting.
We already know those lazy snobbish SOBs
can't even multi task!
